I went with a synapse because I'm tuned at 25-26psi where the stocker starts to bleed. I will say though that driveability IS affected with almost all bov. High gear, partial throttle bogging/bucking/flutter... and that's recirculated. Keep that in mind

Why not go SD and then get any type of BOV/DV you want?

if you want a better blow off valve just get the jdm MR blow off valve. driveability will not be affected

sounds like you made up your mind on wasteful mods...and you think the solution to any of your problems will be a new whistling bov, you have no idea.

I am definitely happy with it overall, minus the fact that after i was told by my dist that they were going to release the DV in Dec/Jan, it was released 6 days later. The shiz is HUGE. That and of course the short comings of having a bov i explained earlier.

As for the greddy Type R, those are for high output engines (big turbo/high flow), which by the looks of your sig, would be good for you. It too is huge, and be prepared to pay slightly more for it.

I have the synapse BOV and my driveability wasnt affected in the least. Most people dont install it correctly because it requires more than just putting in in the place of the stocker.

I'm fully capable of installing a BOV. The problems come depending on your mod setup, which is why you have to connect the lines differently per your setup. I've spoken with Devin at Synapse and he mentioned that what I have described can only be solved by down shifting, which sucks if you're on a long slight up hill and try to mildly accelerate.

I have the one without port C, lines in both A and B. What's your setup and mod list?

DO NOT DO IT! Yes it sounds nice, but as far as performance, you dont need it. It doesnt give you extra hp, and only causes negative issues. Stick with the stock recirc dv. I had a tial on my IX and tuned with it. Then swapped to an HKS SSQV and now I have over boost issues. I swapped back to the IX DV, and now I have to go and get another tune. Stick with what you have man. You are on MAF, so treat your car with something better.
