ne way i cud make the grille look like the 9 ? bc im really interested in getting the evo 8 front bumper and cutting the grille insert out and make it into the 9 grille style

I've seen that GG before on here but this pic reminds me how ill it is...solid reference. the nose chop either costs too much or takes too much time/effort to DIY. I agree the VIII bumper is better looking, so just buy one and swap it. there are plenty of people who will buy ur IX bumper too

^no, but i wouldn't put them on if i were you. Theres a black IX on here for sale with APR front splitter without the hangers and it looks sexy under his SE front lip.

Don't get me wrong i love that car posted above, its sexy. Especially the SBC Enkei RPF1's it has!

 

You could easily sell your IX bumper and buy a VIII bumper with money left over for a paint job (if needed).

Just offer your 9 bumper for trade + cash in the marketplace. Lots of guys with 8 are looking to upgrade to 9 bumpers. It's a bonus if you can find someone with the same colour as you as well.
