the first mod should be the driver. if your driving abilities aren't good enough to push the car to it's limits in stock form, then there is no point in raising those limits until you can.

many many ways you can start with I would say first thing is first what do you want to car for and what is going to be its main function? that will kind of tell you what mods are most important to you but my first mods were a 3.5" intercooler then 3" TBE then boost controller and walbro 255 fuel pump and so on.

I did the major bolt-ons: Intake, turbo back 3", bov, 3.5" IC with piping, walbro pump, tune.

Kevin @ EvoDynamics street tuned it and says I need bigger injectors. It was running out of fuel on the top end so he had to turn the boost down a little. That's something you might want to add to the list. Also cams seem to be worth another 30whp. However the car as it sits is very quick and runs like stock. It's amazing how much power this engine will make with the small amount of $ put into it.

Basic mod path for a IX - MBC, TBE, tune. That's it. Any other bolt-on's effect is marginal compared to this. Good luck.

I remember the 1st time when I got my evo.
Basic things you can look out for.
Air filter
Exhaust
Cosmetic mods, lips etc
Boost controller
BOV
Pads/Rotors

Happy modding!
