License Plate (stupid question)

How do you put your front plate on? It looks like if I screw them into those black things, they'll just slip out? And will it hold a license plate holder?

as long as you use some decent threaded screws it should hold . . .. or if your really scared about it fallin off then put some nuts and bolts on through the bumper, but im not sure how u would get bolt on the other side of the bumper . . . . . . ?

I just screw mine in. If you do that pull them. If they pull right out then you have a problem. If not then most likely they wont fall out.

zip tie the top holes int he licence plate into the black mesh crap on the fron of the car this way you dont need to drill holes in your bumper.....

sucks

Here is the problem. The black things you see are kind of like dry wall screws. The f'ing dealer drilled huge 1/2 inch holes in my front bumper, inserted these black mushrooming bolt things and stuck on my front plate. Do NOT try to remove the black things, or you will have 2 gaping holes in your bumper.

I removed my front plate, which is illegal in Minnesota. When I get pulled over, I will tell the cop my plate was stolen and I'm waiting for a new bracket. Did anybody's dealer use a front bracket? If so what is there number.

Never really known....
What's the whole reasoning behind having a front mounted license plate as opposed to it being in the back of the car?

Several states require both a front and back plate. I think its to give the inmates in prison more work to do.

Don't put your front license plate on. It looks cleaner with it off. I know its the law to have one on the front in Cali, but I don't have one and I don't think the cops really care about something like that.

Front plates give the cops something to shoot their laser at.

What I did was I bought 2 suction cups and just stick them on my passenger side windshield, that way I still have a license plate showing and still saving the cool looks on the front bumper.

My friend strapped his license plate to the passenger side visor thingy, on the back of if, and has the visor down so that you can see the license plate from the front. I thought that was a pretty smooth idea, and plus, once you park, you can just flip up the visor and your car will look clean, hehe. Not sure if that is completely legal in all states, but it sure beats not having one showing at all!
