Let me try this again...new guy...Mopar to Mitsu

Just checking in...HUGE forum you guys have here!

Just traded-in my Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 for a 2006 Evo IX MR. Stock and still have about a year left of warranty so we will see how that goes....

Previously I have had a few SRT-4s, a '99 Dakota R/T, Chrysler Conquest TSi, Cobalt SS/TC........etc...etc...already love the Evo more than everything (even though my insurance jumped $400 a year!!!!....haha)

On to the pics....

you now realized your mistake all these years not getting the EVO in the first place.
do a bunch of reading before you attempt any mods.
GL and welcome aboard

Welcome aboard yes the srt is a great car wether it is the 4 or the 6 or the 8 or the 10. But the evo is a great car I know from driving it you wont be able to spind tires so easily unless your a hp freak. Its stability is very good in most weather conditions which I like. And consider the snow season is now in the city I wish mine was running sooner. Good luck with her and take care of her the car is very expensive though and parts are so hard to find.

Yeah...kinda. I always regretted getting rid of my SRT-4 ACR version...but this is ten times better!

Will do on the mods. I'm VERY particular about aftermarket parts that go on the car, so modding will be a very slow process.

Yep, 3.2L SC.

Beautiful car...one of a kind (literally)...hand-built Mercedes engine. Handled like a go cart, but was a little disconnected and the SRT-6 only came in automatic. I always tried to describe to people how it felt like the car didn't really have it's own personality or soul. Still a very unique and fun car though. Mine was slightly modded and could probably run a mid 12 second 1/4 mile on a good day. However, all that said, I will not miss it.

After the SRT-6...I really hope the Evo proves to have easier to find and cheaper parts. SRT-6 fuel pump = $500+

Thank you for all of your warm welcomes!

the first mod every new owner should do is the driver mod. once you tune that one right, it'll make all the subsequent mods perform a lot better.
