Arrow Just bought an evo, is this line ran right?

Did some searching and see people tee the mbc either from the turbo nipple or the bov. I just bought an evo 8 and going through everything good before I beat on it.

It is routed like this....

Boost source is the nipple on top of intake right behind the throttle body, goes to a Tee, one line goes to the bov, the other line goes to the mbc, comes out of the mbc to the turbo actuator. It also goes through a boost solenoid but for the sake of this I'll leave it out and make it easy, and I dont even know if this is factory or a failsafe for the meth, I'm thinking its for the meth.

Is this ok? When turbo nipple is mentioned do they mean the nipple on the turbo outlet housing? because I dont see one on my fp black but its hard to see down there, either way theres no lines going down into that area. I always thought the mbc should get boost source as close to the turbo as possible like from the outlet housing and not have to wait for the intake to "pressurize" first for it to start opening the wastegate, plus sharing it with the bov. Comments/suggestion?

Thanks

One end is here on the intake right behind the throttle body....the line with the ziptie

Then it goes down to a Tee, one line goes to the Forge BOV and the 3rd leg of the tee goes back down to the mbc...

the 2 lines that are ziptied together in the 2nd pic are the main in and out.
The one is coming from the tee i last described at the bov....goes in the mbc and then out of the mbc, and then goes down to the turbo actuator.

Is this alright or should I isolate the bov and mbc to there own lines? and shouldnt my black have a nipple on the outlet I can tap into for a boost line? I dont see any but when I look up pics of the turbo they have one, and yes mine is a genuine black.
Thanks

The MBC is routed fine, but that is a MAC 3-port BCS in there too so it looks like the previous owner had a dual MBC/3-port setup going on.

What's the point of that? I was figuring that might be a failsafe so in case my meth (aquamist) doesnt spray it can lower the boost but I really dont know.I'll have to follow the wires and see where they go, if they go to the meth controller or car harness.

If it is what you say it is should I take it out and just run and "in" and "out" from the mbc and get rid of the rest from that solenoid?

With a meth kit it probably is a fail-safe setup.

Ok thought so thanks,

I want to isolate the bov and mbc to their own boost source, where can I get another boost source from?

Just a quick note on the nipple on the outlet of the turbo. The nipple is actually located in the stock compressor outlet pipe, not on the compressor housing itself. You'll see the outlet pipe called the j-pipe on here frequently. Since your car has a fp black, its highly likely its running an aftermarket outlet pipe, which probably doesnt have a nipple on it. I know that the fp/buschur outlet pipe does not have a nipple. Hope that helps.

THANK YOU....I was confused cuz on most of the pics I see of the turbo theres a nipple on the housing itself. But yeah it has aftermarket ic piping, im pretty sure its from BR too. Where should I get the second boost source since I cant get it from the J-pipe? somewhere besides the fp regulator line, heard too many stories with using that.

The boost source for the bov is to the left of the tb as shown in your picture. Your boost controller should be hooked between the j pipe and wastegate. If you have a 3 port boost controller, the 3rd port goes to your intake pipe (turbo to maf).
