I have to replace a headlight and someone has an Evo8MR headlight available. I've done a few searches on the board and on google and I'm unable to find anything comparing them.

Does anyone know if they're the exact same in every way or if there's a noticeable difference?

After more searching I'm seeing there's a tint over the evo 9 projector lens. As well as bezel colors from black chrome to flat black etc etc.

 

US Evo 8 MR's version all have the chrome lights like the rest of the 8's, the Japanese and European MR versions have black lights like the evo 9's...

 

^ the us evo 9 headlights are not the same as the jdm, the only lights like the jdm ones are the jdm ones lol, as far as the us evo 8 and us evo 9 lights they are different as well so if you have an evo 9 the evo 8 light will not be the same, the evo 9 housing have a slight black tint to them

 

Evo 8 and 9 head lights are different because of the housing. The Evo 8 headlight housing is chrome and the Evo 9 headlight housing is black. JDM and EDM headlights are both different because of the yellow side marker within the headlight.

Good question, I was wondering too as I have an Evo 8 and looking to upgrade lights.

 

I was only referring to the main housing colors, which is black. I didnt mean they were exactly alike because he asked about a noticeable difference between 8/9 MRs, so i thought the most noticeable difference would be the housing color. LoL
