other than the color, brackets/shape wouldn't matter whether it's evo8 or evo9 headlight, correct?

not to be off topic but i just had my body shop install the 8 headlights on my car that i got from vivid. my question is the shop told me there was no previsions for the angle adjust like on my oe headlights is that a USDM thing only? Also they said they had to wire in pigtails to install one of the lights i believe they said the high beams did anyone else have to do this?

another difference is the cutoff pattern. i have jdm mr lights and they are set up for a rhd evo. its not an issue for me as i live in the city and its well light. but it makes trips to the burbs at night difficult. high beams needed to read street signs ect.

are you talking about the angle leveling motor on the headlights? cause the jdm headlights have those too so you're still able to adjust the level of the headlights while you're driving. and as for wiring a new harness, yes, you have to wire new harnesses because the jdm headlights use a different bulb for the fog lights.

yes you can still adjust the level but unlike the usdm ones where the driver side will always be lower than the passenger side, it will be reverse effect on these jdm ones. So you can aim them lower so the driver side doesn't blind oncoming traffic but then ur passenger side is also going to be lower.

I don't have use angle leveling they said there was no spot on the housing for the motor to be screwed into. I still have the my OE's so i might take them out and see if they messed up.

i thought the JDM headlights came with the angle leveling motors on them? i did a straight swap from my Evo IX headlights to the JDM VIII's and the angle leveling switch works fine. i didnt swap the motor to the JDM headlights or anything.
