burning oil?

Don't mean to bring this thread back from the dead, but I'm in a similar situation and had a question.

Lost about 3/4 of a quart of oil on the 35 mile drive to work this morning, but I do not see oil anywhere. I know that it is leaking somewhere. Already had a compression and leak down test done, the engine is healthy.

When the turbo oil return line leaks, does the oil immediately burn off on the downpipe below it?

I did not replace the gasket when I service my turbo this past weekend. A new gasket is on the way now.

I know this isn't often mentioned, but is your engine built? 3/4 a quart of oil is pretty serious though so it's not applicable.
