burning oil?

burning oil?

If im burning a good amount of oil what could that possibly mean. I put a quart in drove 150 miles and needed another half of court to go back to where i was at

Possibly rings and or valve seals.

Do you smell or see oil burning out of the tailpipe??

i smell it if i get on the car ill smell it through the vents...

and i just traded for this car to... the guy told me the oil return line is loose to tighten it but idk.

if you can smell it through your vents, you better find out where its leaking. it will catch on fire...

if it was the rings or valve seats,you would not be able to smell it in the car

alrite ahh damn, whatever im bringing it to a shop tomorrow then any guys on here from tuning shops that are free to take my car tomorrow to fix this issue? and any other issue with the car???

If the valve cover vent/pcv is vented to the air and not in the intake pipe and you have low compression causing more than normal crankcase pressure then you will smell it in the cabin right after boosting or rollling into boost. Do compression test to start with then if thats the problem use normal convential oil it wont slip past the rings and burn as bad a synthetic

you cant just throw any oil in these cars. especially with journal bearing turbos

yes i wont be putting in regular oil... i have an fp red now, im just did my oil change and put in amsoil 10w-30 fully synthetic tightened up the oil return line and so far no leaks so i wasnt burning oil.
