New member with a question

Hey what's up guys not really new to evom been lurking around for a few weeks haha anyways I drive a Mercedes c230 I'm still looking for an evo hopefully ill find one in the near future
I live in la and there is a lot of traffic and I wanted to know if an evo is bare-able in traffic? I usually try not to get caught in it but it is inevitable most of the time its pretty much bumper to bumper traffic

what do you mean by bare-able? keep your a/c and its pretty much like sitting in a normal car with a lumpy idle and a exhaust o thats my car LOL...

i guess it all depends on what you can tolerate some is more than others. But i see nothing wrong with it

In bumper to bumper freeway traffic the Evo sucks imo. Depends on how much tolerance you have for such things. Normal in town stuff its like a regular car. Only scary thing is, you brake far better than the average car.

any manual transmission sucks in bumper to bumper. But i LOOOOVE my car so i feel its worth it. If dude loves the evo he will quickly get over it

Yeah I could just be bias because the last time I was in traffic was right after I got a tune and parts installed. 30 miles took 2 hours. 370hp and no where to stretch my legs.

There was a dude in a corvette snickering at my car too. very frustrating.

I usually get stuck in freeway traffic the most but I'm usually pretty tolerant with it and as to the braking better then most cars I don't see that as an issue haha but I know driving a manual does suck in any traffic its just some are worse then others... Alot worse haha

I don't even really think about it much anymore. After owning an Evo for five years, getting stuck in traffic obviously isn't fun, but it doesn't bother me to the point I wish I had an automatic or something.

Assuming your username is indicative of your area, where in the 805 are you?

No the evo is a horrible car in traffic, its such a race car that it has only 2 gas pedal positions full and idle. You probably should not buy one, unless you plan on racing to work everyday.

Of course im being an *******, but for the love of god really?
if you don't have anything useful to say then don't say it I was hoping I wasnt going to get replies like this but I can see that some people can't resist themselves

I would but I'm a little pressed for cash since I am in college. Hopefully I'll be able to trade up one day for an x but for right now I'm just looking for one that's pretty close to stock so I can see what I really want to do with it thanks for the tip though I'll keep that in mind

If you keep it stock or stick to minor bolt-ons it will drive in traffic just like any other manual transmission car. If I sat in insane bumper-to-bumper LA traffic every day though I'd probably opt for a X SE, X MR, or Ralliart since they all have the SST transmission.

I honestly wouldn't want that because I think it would take the fun out of physically shifting and all that
