Ive been in a long search for months for the right car. Ive been looking for a low mielage 9 MR. Either stock or a well put together car. The car will be daily driven probably around 10k miles a year. How does this car looks in terms of quality of mods and how it was put together. It would be great to get your opinions.

406 seems to be a lot of HP for the mods. I don't trust any car that has stickers on it. I notice a blemish on drivers seat right between the legs. Selling point of the bbs is silly they came stock with the car. the Ebay exhaust does get good reviews here I think the complaint is it is a bit loud. The clutch gets mixed reviews. The UICP does not give you very much gain if at all. All second hand cars are a gamble but doe to the nature of the evo odds are greater that it has seen some abuse. GL
I thought the same thing about the bbs, and yea i saw that mark on the seat too. Looks to be about the only blemish you can tell from pictures. I wonder if its something that will come out with my magic upholstery cleaner haha.

^ use Adams upholstery cleaner products or a damp microfiber. There are some VII's and IX's on Craigslist local in NJ. I would look and take it to an evo shop for a good look over. We are lucky in NJ we have a lot of good Evo shops.
Definitely many good shops around here. And i havent seen any ix's on craigslist recently and certainly no 7's? haha. Im only interested in a 9 MR though, not a fan of the 8's front and i need a 6 speed seeing i do some good highway driving.
I'd skip this car. BC cams are crap. Then there's the BOV, hacked headlights, a big sticker from a drag shop and an owner too dim to remove it before offering the car for sale, a new clutch...
This Evo may cost you a lot more before things are over and done with.
The 6-speed won't help you much in this regard. There's only ~250rpm drop at cruising speed, compared to a 5-speed IX.

Looks like the owner bought every single option available for the evo of this time, zero lift kit evo MR SE. But it doesn't matter because if you do consider this car, be prepared for anything. If I were to do a lot of highway driving, I would search for a closer to stock evo. You never know though these things are all relative to how they were treated and tuned.
The zero lift kit was stock on all MRs and available as an option on all other model designations.
There was no such thing as a MR SE. It's a name we use of the forums. There was a MR with an Appearance Package consisting of brightly finished wheels, red stitching on the seats, and a revised front lip.
HTH the OP.
