Yes, anything is possible with money, but its probably going to take a lot of work since it's not meant to be in there.

Why would you ever want to do this? Take the boat loads of money you would be spending on a swap and build a M engine. They are proven and can make just as much power as a 4g, plus it is actually meant to fit in there...

You may want to look into an older 4g63. They make an adapter plate that will mount it to most popular automatic trasmissions as well as a few manuals.

It would be more fun with a supercharger or turbochargers on the E36 motor. Would create a lot more low end torque and would be a lot cheaper/easier than a motor swap.

3) turbo kit is not cheap

I'd say go for it! It'll be an interesting build! As posted, it'll be time and money consuming.

Since, it sounds like you are on a budget, let me tell you cross manufacturer/cross driven wheel engine swaps probably aren't cheap either.

Might look better than the Frankenstang 4g63 or that 4g63 Camaro someone had built and posted on here, awhile ago. I'm sure it'll be expensive and time consuming, so good luck!

I'm guessing you meant Evo V engine and up. Essentially all the same internally and mount the same V-VIII IIRC.

Of course the IX engine would bring Mivec
