Buschur racing stage upgrades and power.

Just had a question for those who have done the Buschur Racing stage upgrades I plan on doing them one at a time so i can enjoy the improvement of the car over the different power levels. My question is how much power increase will you see at stage 1? stage 2? etc.

Wow, sorry I'm retarded. What is funny is that one of the first things I looked at was the staged upgrades when I bought my Evo about 4 months ago. I've been wondering this whole time how much power I might gain, I've looked at the Buschur Racing website many times and never noticed that.

Thanks.

You gotta specify what ur driving man...8 and 9 make different power. BR is great but take my advice and don't waste time doing it step by step. I did it that way and for some upgrades you can't even tell a difference...and you waste money tuning it for minimal gains. If you need to split it up, do full exhaust, intake and maybe a lower ICP first for roughly 300whp, then for round 2 do an upgraded IC and cams for about 330-350whp. Keep in mind there are other supporting items you'll need along the way (i.e. boost control, fuel system, clutch). Buschur is a great place to buy parts from...their parts are no BS, made in the USA and guaranteed to make power. Follow their stages, but there's no need to take it one at a time...

Sorry, driving an EvoIX MR. I never want to upgrade the car all at once because then I have nothing to do or look forward to. First thing I did upgrade about 2 weeks after I bought the car was the Clutch. I got an Exedy Twin Disc. I figured that would hold me through at least the stage 3 which is all I plan on doing at this point in time. I never like upgrading cars so much that they're not fun to drive everyday anymore. I've learned and wasted alot of money making cars too fast, then stop enjoying them for daily driving.

There's always something to do or want to do.
BR parts are top notch.

Since we're talking about staged upgrades. I've already upgraded my clutch that is more than enough to hold the power I want. Lets say I do the stage 1-3 upgrades, anything that would be smart to upgrade now drivetrain wise? I hate it when stuff breaks, I always try to stay ahead of the game in that aspect. I know, sometimes stuff will just break, but is there anything like maybe T-case, or sychro's, etc that might be a good idea to upgrade also?

This is first evo or 4wheel drive car period. Hard to know what to expect. Sports car wise, I've gone from a boosted RSX type-S, a G8 GT, and now this. All very different cars obviously.

That all depends on how you drive the car. If you launch bad or shift hard, things are going to break, even if the car is stock.

Are you serious??

Of course I know this. I've been working on sports cars in general for about 10 years. I've just never had a awd car. I know from experience between a FF and an FR car, you build them up differently. I'm sure awd cars are different than those two. I'm just looking for general knowledge is all.

Easy sparky, you posted in the newb section, so expect newb answers.

There's really no definitive answer here. For example, Buschur's old drag car went 8.88 on the stock t-case, while other people have had theirs give the whine of death from stock power.

If you want to be safe, beef up the t-case and transmission (especially if you have a 6-speed) and you won't have much to worry about.

Good point on the tuning but we will advise anyone of that when they call. Best thing to do if you want to do it in our Stages one at a time is this.

Stage 1 BUT add the fuel pump and then get tuned.

You can then do Stage 2 and a FMIC and get by on the same tune.

When you go to Stage 3 you can add the injectors at the same time and get tuned again and be good.

You do not need a new tune for each Stage. Your initial mods, cams and injectors are what you'll need re-tuned for.

Sorry, you're right, no excuse for getting uppity. Its been one of those days.... Also, I didn't post this in this section. It got moved for whatever reason. Didn't think it was that much of a newb question to me, but there is no denying I'm a newb to Evo's so its cool.

What are some options for beefing up the T-case and tranny for us?

And thanks for the advice on getting the Fuel Pump with the Stage 1. I'll deffinetly get the car tuned. I learned the hard way about neglecting getting a car tuned on my first FI car. Thats why I hate breaking stuff.
