decent price imo. and pointless to buy the whole kits for 20 bucks just to need the clay bar. most kits only have 55-100g bars anyways. so curious about one of these.Originally Posted by FJF

You can buy clay separately, just usually not OTC. Here's an example:

most will find a supplier at a certain quality, then buy tons fo it and relabel it as there product. its rare when any company makes their own product from raw material in modern times. everyone knows these claybars have a HUGE markup once a silly name brand sticker is on it so just try it, its only 7 bucks.

Though most clay is manufactured in the same facility, due to a patent issue, it is made to spec. Aside from various grades of clay, which made a HUGE difference in its application and use, the composition of the clay varies. If you're shopping OTC, for example, Meguiars clay isn't the same as Mothers clay which isn't the same as Clay Magic. I have no idea how things work in Asia, where this particular clay is from.Originally Posted by mifesto

Got the clay yesterday. It's straight-up JDM (always wanted to say that). Made in Japan, shipped from Hong King. Jiuguang brand. I may not have a chance to test it out for a few weeks; the weather isn't cooperating.
