Noob from New England
------------------------vvv Bull**** vvv------------------------
Hey, I'm a student living in New England. When I was in junior high school, I didn't even know that cars can be modified. I thought racing means saving money in my entire life to buy a Maserati and racing it on the highway 10 days before I die of cancer, until I heard kids were all talking about Need for Speed 7 (worst place to start, lol). From the game, I heard cars such as Skyline R34 GTR, Supra, and RX-7. And I realized that dumping an affordable amount of money in these cars, they can beat stock euros with ease.
In the past few years I was living in the city, plus parents were too worried to let me drive myself, so I never had the chance to have car. After I started working, I realized the need, because it's quite stupid to ask my girlfriend for a ride every time we go out, lol. Now I'm in college and have got my own car, so I decide to start from some very basic, very affordable modifications.
I fell in love with Mitsubishi because I think their cars' appearance is really cool, say 3000GT, 8g Galant VR4, Eclipse, and Evo. At that time I didn't know the difference between a 6G72 and a 4G63T, and don't mention what is a SOHC and what is a DOHC.
------------------------^^^ Bull**** Ends ^^^------------------------
My car is a 8g Galant and I'm about to make it a DOHC turbo (most stuff are from a Evo VIII, currently I'm waiting for a 5-spd manual tranny from Eclipse). The reason I come here is because that there are not a lot of people in Galant forums talking about 4G63T and other Mitsubishi stock goodies associated with it, including stock turbo and stock ECU.
Here comes a question. I think stock 4G63T gives around 15 ~ 20 mpg fuel efficiency. I'm about to get an ECU controlled boost, but will it waste a lot of fuel, say, only 5 mpg with pump gas (93 octane)?
