Wtb stock evo help me pick the right 1
Hey guys,
So i have wanted a evo for a long time now that i got a good paying job and some start up cash i wanna find a stock evo i can modify my self and play with :0. Looking for 04+ don't wanna go too overboard on price i just want a fun car to drive and maybe some mods in the future. WHAT SHOULD I GET :0. FYI not too great with cars but i really wanna learn what i might be getting my self into. Any input is welcome.
Thanks,
Josh

Buy a used 03-05, normally 03 go for around 11k-13k or higher depending on who's selling it. The 04 - 06 can go upwards of 20k. So do what I did and buy a 03 in good condition and work on that. Mines was 11k with 100k miles with the money I saved I'm already sourcing a Mivek 06 engine to swap out when this one blows.
Alright ill look into it i got just about 20 grand and ive read that some 03 struggle a bit but i could be wrong. Most evos around me are way over priced so now i am just waiting for the right 1 to pop up. 03 and 04s pushing 18k+ with about 60k on them heh kinda redic but hopefully ill find something with in a month. I do know for a fact the cars hold their value but i should be able to find something soon. Thanks for the response :0
Yeah that's a bit high.. 03-04 Evo's shouldn't go for more than 13-14k and 05's should be around 15-16k. 9's are around 20k, all cars being stock or close to it. You can get them for less on auction, or if you get lucky though
.
As you can see, there all kinds of pricing claims on the forums that may or may not be congruent with reality. Keep in mind that buying a cheap Evo can cost you more in the long run that buying a quality car to begin with, not accounting for the downtime and the aggravation. Good luck.
Yea alot of dealerships that have them are pretty pricy atm. Hopefully some will drop seen some 06s with pretty low mileage for around 20 but hopefully i can find cheaper then that. Any local ones seem to be way to built up for me and i am just trying to find 1 thats stock as possible so i can learn and not worry about random mods i know nothing about. Hopefully i will find the right 1 soon that runs smooth and has a clean record id be willing to spend the money on something like that if its been well taking care of. Thanks for the response.
