New to Forum and Looking for Evo IX

Hey guys!

I am new to this forum, but not new to forums. I currently drive an F-250 powerstroke and on the powerstroke.org forum. But I am in the market for a 2005 or 2006 Evo IX. I was wondering what everyone can point out for me, the do's and don'ts and what not. I am looking forward to being part of the forum, as the same with the other one I am on. Thanks guys!

look for something that is close to stock especially if you are going to be doing the work. It is better to learn everything you have before it starts to give you issues.

Thanks for some replies. Looking to start out with at least an MR with the 5-speed, or one with the 5-speed conversion. Heard the 5-speeds are a better built tranny.

If you want a 5-speed get the GSR, if you plan on wanting alot of power get the 5-speed. The MR's are only 6-speed (unless you get the conversion like you said). Also Evo IX's were only made in 2006. GL with your evo search

I totally agree on the 5 speed! Making power is where it's at and don't have a weak link!
