texas is very laid back when it comes to modded cars. as long as you have no cel on you can pass inspection. only thing cops will get you for out here is dark tint on front windows or front license plate.

Evolution Dynamics is the shop you want doing all your tuning/mods. great prices with great results.

DFW is HUGE. what part are you moving to?

you should post up in the NTEC(north texas evo club) section with any questions regarding DFW

Yeah.. Dallas Fort Worth is very laid back, your going to like it... As 05VIII says check out NTEC, as of the Tint Law I'm not really sure... I live between Dallas & Fort Worth area...

Evolution Dynamics is the place to go for Tuning & Mods.

im not to familiar with that part of dfw. im more north of dallas but there are a bunch of NTEC members in that area

i think the lowest you can have is 35% up front. i have 5% in the front and 5% over 35% in the rear. its really not a big problem just every now and then ill have a cop say something about it.

other than that, you can pretty much do anything you want. i have been catless for 5 years now, dumpin my WG for 3 years and running e85 for 1 year

DFW is an awesome place to live if you're into modding cars.

For tuning around here your best choices are Cobb or Evolution Dynamics. Your choice really depends on if you want a dyno-tune or street-tune, and if you have an Accessport or use ECUFlash. MAP is opening a location down here soon too so that will be another great option.

The most recent updated tint law for TX says 20% for the rear door windows and 35% for the front windows, if I'm not mistaken.

What about AEM or stock ecu tuning? Who's good down there for that?

Stock ECU = ECUFlash, which would be Evolution Dynamics or MAP (once they open) among a few other non-EvoM sponsor shops. No idea on AEM though, this isn't 2004 You know the stock ECU is capable of supporting over 1000whp right?

Yes I do, but I guess I'm old fashioned and too lazy to switch over. Well maybe one day when I have time and money to burn.
