Is there a JDM reference site?

I just bought an '05 MR saturday and I curious to see what the cosmetic differences are between a USDM EVO and a JDM or Euro evo. Is there a good site with pics?

BTW I love this car, most amazing car I've driven

The only difference in appearance is the rear bumper, a/c controls, orange reflector in the bottom of the headlight instead of the top, and orange turn signal in the tail light housing

Engine, drivetrain, interior and other electronics are a lot more different.

Welcome to Evo ownership Bill. Eventually you're going to develop a superiority complex, and confusion.

The confusion comes when you realize that you can't replace the Evo with anything short of 100k (performance wise)

Here is a UKDM 8 MR fq400, I believe this is ukdm which is the same as the jdm one basically. Except for the rear badge, which the JDM is the same as the USDM (crappy silver small lancer evolution badge on bottom left).

That's not the JDM rear bumper though.

I've got a couple pics of my JDM IX on this thread

Yeah it's not a sedan but the boot and wing on the JDM is the same as the USDM.

The JDM rear bumper was only on the EVO 9 (one of the revisions along with the front bumper) not the EVO 8.

This video illustrates both the JDM 8 and 9 and their differences. Skip to 4:09 to see that the JDM rear was only introduced to the 9.

Well yes that stuff is different, but he asked cosmetic differences.

I did not remember that but it definitely rings a bell now that you mention it.

the evo 8 had a "jdm rear" also, like the one shown in the pics above, and then the evo 9 also has the "jdm rear". The USDM evo 8 has a different rear bumper than the JDM evo 8.

Yup, same rear bumper as the evo 7 I believe was on the 8, we got stuck with the bubble butt. The video shows the differences anyhow if you skip to around 4:00.
