Question Going to buy an evo quesitons!

Hey everyone. I am looking to buy a Evo X around 2011 Holidays(Christmas Time). I have some general questions that I would like to get finalized before I get it.

1. How much did you end up buying your car for? Please include packages that you bought with it. I am trying to get the GSR with sunroof, upgraded speakers, HID's, and touch screen navigation. If it is possible I would love to spend around 34k, 35k tops.

2. Do you think by the summer 2012 they will change any thing with the car? If they end up fixing something with the 2010-2011 X, I can wait a couple of months because my car right now still gets me around.

3. Also has anyone done a winter in the EVO X yet? I live in PA and we get kinda bad winters, so I was wondering if the 300hp hurts the AWD at all. I am guessing not, but I wasnt sure.

They went with stronger diff pins on 2011 models, but cheap out and went plastic valve cover too. Which might melt if you get a tube manifold down the line.

2012 model would probably address everything but then thats like another 6 month wait from your christmas time purchase.

1. Paid $34.5 OTD when the X first came out...just depends on how well you work the deal. Work directly with the sales or internet managers. My car was a WW SSS model without Nav...so stick another $1000-1500 on top to get your nav.

2. At this point most of the issues have been resolved. They may make minor changes (LED info screen, etc.) but for the most part I wouldn't expect any other changes. Possibly exterior bits, but since the model is ending in 2013 they probably won't do any additional engineering for cost reasons.

3. Sorry no feedback for you on the snow part...but 300whp will be perfectly fine for the car.

Good hunting!

I paid $28k in August of '08 for my base model GSR w/ none of the extra weight (upgrades). Mine hasn't seen snow yet, so I can't help you there.

1. I paid $30,600 (without taxes/titles/registration/etc) for a 2011 GSR with no options.

Your right Pittsburgh winters are bad hence why I can't wait to move LOL, but my buddy drives his X year round and has no trouble what so ever in the snow I'm actually located in Greensburg, and our plow trucks are completely unreliable and he made it up my hill no problem his X is a tank in the snow with the right snow tires it will go anywhere! Good luck on your search man and welcome to the Evolution world!
