How come you don't get early evos over there? Is it like skyline gtrs and they're illegal or something silly like that? We never got the untill the 6 but all before have been imported from Japan like my 4 has been.

 

Maybe the guys here who actually own such cars can chime in, but in general importing cars into the US became very difficult due to federal emissions regulations and individual state regulations. Interestingly, cars older than 25 years are exempt from regulation.
