I own a mitsubishi lancer 2001 1.8L with a 4G93 engine, and I heard that it is possilbe to bolt on directly a turbo. But I would like to know what else I need to go with the turbo? Do I just connect it to the factory hosing and cooling system? Do I need some modifications?

I tried RPW and they quoted me alot of $$$, I am looking for other turbo options (price wise).

Putting together a custom kit is always cheaper, but more difficult. I would suggest you to get the turbo manifold from RPW and the build you own kit (with turbocharger, IC, piping, fuel upgrade, AFC, and other goodies) at a lower price. If you can get them used and re-conditioned. That's one cheaper way to go.

Ok I will get the manifold, but can you suggest the other parts I need to get for a basic setup? I am very sure I will need a turbo charger. Do I need an Intercooler and ECU also?
