Hi my names Nick, It started as a search for an Impreza, then came across the Evo, done some mild research on it, and from what I've seen seems like a great car. I've personally never known anyone who has owned/driven one. I'm married, currently deployed, been in the USAF 4 years now, im looking to buy one when i get back. Of all the models, no particular one especially interests me, they all do. I've read some articles about the 5-speed trans being alot stronger than the 6-speed. I'd be using it as a DD, with light modding after a while. Anyways i've seen numerous great articles here, thanks for any good feedback

I had an STi, fxt and just made the switch to an Evo. It's my second car so I don't have to drive it everyday if I'm feeling lazy. So far I love it. It is much more aggressive and precise than my STi was. I haven't got it out to an autox or hill climb yet but I will give feedback once I do. The main reason I got an Evo was to race it. If I had to dd it I would take a long look at sti's. The car seems more refined, although less driver connected; if that makes sense

I've had 3 Evo's, all 03's. I've also owned an 07 STi. Should add, I owned the STi, brand new with 8 miles on it, before I ever owned an Evo. If you want creature comfert, go STi. If you want to feel like you actually own the car and can make it do what you want, go Evo.
