Hey, Im Rob, and i recently took the plunge over to the darkside. I had a 2002 Subaru WRX and after full bolt ons, the second gear wanted to explode. so after not wanting to deal with having a weak part in the car, I did a trans swap and sold it, and I bought my dream car. A 2011 WW EVO X. YEEE!! Best decision I ever made.

 

Hey hey! Congratulations and welcome to Evom! Sorry to hear you lost your subbie, sounds like you put a lot of work into it. But the Evo 10 is top of it's class, great buy (and WW too, good choice) I envy you sir. Treat that cruise control with respect and love lol.

congrats bro and welcome! Not everyone here is great either, just be cautious about your questions and learn to utilize the search button. I myself is looking on getting a used Evo X either the GSR or MR but right now leaning more towards the MR if I find the right one with the right price coz I already have the IX GSR. Anyway, just control the mod bug syndrome and you will be fine.

 

why people trying to get rid of IX and get X ? i dont get it-

 

Yeah, the search button is my new best freind at this point, just for the simple fact that i essentally am learning a new car set up on what works and what doesnt. The mod bug is biting me uncontrollably, and i gave in. i hit up speedelement about a drop in filter. Tint is next and im good for now.

The MR is pretty sweet. I think i screwed myself and test drove a dual clutch M5 before driving a MR. Alittle different. Price is everything now a days. good luck on your search for a 10. thanks for the welcome.

 

if you are referring to me, I'm never going to get rid of my IX. Just going to buy another Evo, and decided to go the X route since I already have a IX.

 

i test drove an EVO IX MR and EVO X GSR at the dealership and went with the IX ... felt like a funner car to drive at the time

 

I personally liked the interior of the X over the IX.
