BACK to mitsubishi after all these years..

Hello EVO community im a newby to this forum and im glad to be gettn back into a mitsu. Ive had over 10 first gen eclipses, 240sx's, and wrx's, and most recently a bmw m3.. Ill be going to pick up my 08 evo gsr tomarrow and I am STOKED..

The car is stick and has 50k miles

Is there anything to look for as far as problems?

What kind of maintnance should have been done to this point?

any help would be much appriciated

Check for oil leaks around the timing chain cover. From the factory some didn't get sealed right and tend to leak. Had to have mine done at 24k and its been running strong ever since.

When I mean "back to mitubishi" my first car was a 90 gsx with a 20g. HAHA.

Ok today is the first day I got the car . some things right away i wanna change are:

Front lisence plate!! Its gotta go..

the black trim around the doors gotta go

shift knob..

OEM shift knob is garbage. Go with a weighted one. I went with TWM.

Welcome, I've got a longer AMS knob, supposed to be closer to wheel to reduce time/distance on/off wheel. Not so sure I'm picking up .00001 sec's on shifts, but it looks pretty cool....
