Talking im a newbie about lancer. and im really wanna learn.

im joseph rubio and i love fixing cars. and i got a 03 lancer oz rally, its pretty stock, and i got under my hood is a injen cold air intake, and some basic stuff. im asian "pinoy" and want to learn about car modification, specially on my oz rally, and my big problem is my suspension. i got a kyb gr-2 shock absorbers and a ground control coilover sleeves,i drop it around 2.5" front, and 2.2 rear its pretty okay for me, but not for my wife, she 7 months pregnant and she dont like the bounciness,
i been searching for mono tubes shocks for months and months and its so disappointing that i cant find any. if any one can help me i would be so thankful for that. please any mono tube shocks any brand, i just dont want to take it to the the car shops coz i want to do all the mods myself, coz the last time i took my car to the shop. urrggg they rip me off.

p.s. i was thinking if the front strats of an evo 8 fits my oz rally, or any other mitsubishi struts that will fit. i really wanna explore more and im ready for any grinding and drilling, welding i'll try. please help me with this one.

Wow that was hard 2 read. You should check out speedcorps.com. They cover most of the stuff avail. I would suggest Tein SS I have them and love em. Ditch the kyb/grounds, you likely already blew them being that low and do yourself a favor get a camber kit (2) for the front wheels so you can get them close if not with in spec. Also please search the 02-03's are about 10years old and there really isnt any new info at this point for them so it likely has been covered a 1000x here already. Kthx

If you want to stay that low then you will need to go with a true coilover system to "help" improve comfort if even possible being that low. There are better spring/strut combo's available for performance and comfort but you will not be that low. Being that low on any strut on ground controls is killing your stroke distance. Doesnt matter what you buy, it will always ride like crap keeping those coilover sleeves.

okay i think you are right, both of u, so here is my last question if im going to drop my car with a coil over sleeve + a mono tube struts, what are your best suggestion? im planing to adjust my drop size to 2" or 1.5". if im ganna keep my coilover sleeves and probably i'll do for awhile till i save enough for coilover pro tein ss or tein street pro something.
and if im going to drop it again what is the best full coilover kits u can suggest?
thank you guys alot and hope u have a nice and great day and God bless u both.

I'm not sure what the stroke distance on stock or aftermarket struts are. But I would think going any lower than 1.75 or so will increase the destruction of any strut especially if it was not made for such a short stroke distance. Like it's been said, if you want comfort your going to either have to raise your existing ride height to increase stroke or you'll need a full coilover system that allows you to go that low and keep the proper stroke. Your not going to find a strut that will allow you stay that low on coilover sleeves and be comfortable at the same time.
