hey guys, im just looking to get an oppinion on getting a body vinyl for my car, nothing ricey like flames down the side, but a 2 tone blue/black vinyl

I did this rendering on need for speed lol and its on the evo not the lancer but it sorta gives the affect that im looking for

I want it 2 tone blue on bottom black on top and maybe with the racing stripes i dont know yet.

Also do you think this will look stupid because i only have the stock wheel caps (those crap plastic ones)

Coz ive always thought twice about doing stuff to the outside of my car just coz of the wheels, i dont want it to look like i aint got the money for wheels so i just do cheap upgrades to the outside. i got the money for the wheels, i just cant afford to get the wheels and run the lancer since im only 16 and working once or twice a week. I got my lancer in june last year and ive got $100 left on the fuel card that mitsu gave me when i bought the car. I dont drive it much, because my mums a smoker and no smoking in my car. Plus she doesnt like the stereo too much xD. only got 6000kms on the odometer if that gives you an idea. Mostly highway driving in the lancer, so much more comfortable than mums 06 ford fiesta which is full of rubbish and smells off nicotine. and not to mention no *****

Anyway back to topic

I want to get a vinyl because 1 it protects that paper thin paint we have on our lancers, 2 when getting my car washed one day one of the guys washing it used the wrong grade wax or polish or sumthing on the hood and a part of my hood is dull compared to the rest and 3 i rekon id would look heaps meaner with that style. and 4 i simply wouldnt have the money to get it painted.

I have no idea on the price, i payed like $20 for a roll of vinyl for the front grill and if anyone had an estimate that i should expect when i head down to the vinyl shop.

Plus, do you guys know if you can get a vinyl that looks like paint, because i dont want it to look matte, i want it to look metalic so it has a sort of sheen to it.

If you saw a lancer with stocky plastic wheels and that vinyl do you think it would look stupid? Any replies are apprieciated

Ummm I've seen similar paint schemes that look amazing. My suggestion is keep the base color blue, and run it solid black down the middle, and on the hood, cut off right at where the hood flares up, imo it would look a hell of a lot better.

There's a Mercedes that rolls around here with that exact set up and it looks pretty badass.

 

Ive posted this on another forum and they are saying the same thing, to loose the stripes. I need some wheels baddd though. Who wants to give me some free wheels? xD
