can i get a upclose picture of the rrm short intake??
you think that factory scoop helps that much?
have you looked at the mas adapter differences? The RMR is flat and causes a ton of turbulance where the RRM is smooth and angles air into the MAS without creating turbulance.
And i dont care what anyone else says but if you dyno the two there isnt going to be a damn bit of difference, frankly save your money and go cold air (and yes you can go cold air on an auto if you are creative).

but if you wanted to go cheap, which i've seen done before,
buy a small black plastic garbage can, and cut to fit. then buy an off the shelf k/n, s/b or any other high flow filter
the only thing else needed would be a round adaptor plate to fit the filter
