Boost control solenoid

I'm trying to help a buddy out with hocking up his boost control solenoid, does the top hose go to vaccuum while the bottom goes to wastegate? And help would be appreciated.

Interesting. My Subaru runs of vacuum, I only assumed this did when I saw a hose hooked into the solenoid but nothing at the other end, guess everyone does it differently.

top goes to the tube between the air cleaner and the turbo very little if any vacuum there. curious where does the subi get vacuum from? with the throttle open there is none.

It also basically hooks into the intake, but the curiosity I had was if it DOES read vacuum how does it get it, if the sensor isnt hooked up. Btw you only no vacuum at wot. But that's beside the point.

reads vacuum in the intake manifold but the wastegate operates under boost so how does it work?

if you unhook my solenoid i would run wastegate pressure, which is much lower than what i'm tuned for. but it also needs To read vac/pRess to knOw when to aLLow the wastegate to open.
