NEW TO THE EVO (pics)

Hi, i recently joined this site and thought id share some pictures of my evo. Its an '04 lancer evolution. Sadly i cant take credit for most of the mods the previous owner did alot of them. He never gave me a list of all that was in there so all i know is what i see.

Custom red leather interior, 5% purple tint on all windows except windshield, Partial carbon fiber spoiler, carbon fiber hood, OZ rally wheels, nitto racing tires, guages, HKS turbo timer Fuel management system, Greddy exhaust.

(under the hood that i know of)

Hks intake, HKS SSQV blow off valve, Aftermarket cams, Boost upgrade.

I wish i could tell you guys more but i havent got a list from him yet :/ He showed me the dyno sheets its pushing about 310 right now.

Oh and the reason there is a bumper sticker on this amazing car is because i backed into something at night and i wanted something to distract from the hideous mark it left haha.

Also i have recently came into the modding world i know barely anything about modding my cars up so if theres some tips youd like to give on what i should do next feel free to tell me. (already checked out the modding for dummies post most of those mods have already been done)

+1 I had to change mine when I went past 25 PSI on boost, the driveability was annoying. Also, that wing is full carbon fiber, just the outside peices are painted. The clear coat on the hood and the wing still look great though, you got lucky, take care of it! hahah

Looks really nice though, looks like it was well taken care of. How much you pick it up for? How many miles?

I personally love the red leather, and the purple tints not that bad its so dark from the outside it looks black only purple from inside out. But i guess its just my preference.

But i agree hopefully i will.

It's the BoVs design that makes it a pain, you can adjust it, some people have luck with adjusting it, I just didn't. When you recirculate it, your driveability will improve. If you've noticed any kind of weird idel problems or it dieing when you come to a stop or anything of that nature, recirculating it will more then likely fix all of those issues.

Maybe if the seats didn't have red "evolution" stiching with blue "Recaro" stitching they would look better.IMO red leather looks 80ish.but to each it's own.

I see well my pics serve it no justice the leather has a unique carbon style look to it thats hard for my cell phone to capture. But i cant argue thw recaro being blue part. If i was paying someone to customize my seats i would have had them make that red too but then again i wasnt the one who had it done.

So thats what its from it hasnt "died" yet but sometimes on start when its idling it will drop to just below 1k rpms and rumble like its going to die i always tap the gas a bit to keep it from doing so. Thanks for your help. What would you do next to your car if you were in my possition not counting the bov? i have some money to mod it with i just dont know what to mod next.

one more thing, to recirculate it is there any special kind of hose i should use? i know how to recirculate it, it seems pretty simple dont i just put on the recirculating fitting then run a hose of some sort from the piece to the intake.
