Being that the state I live in only has a handful of EVOs at most, they dont go unnoticed.
Agreed

This is the mark of a true automotive enthusiast. When I started driving in 1969, the "Wave" was mainly for Corvette owners. I had a Camaro at the time, and there generally weren't any waves exchanged between owners. In 1973, I bought a 427 Corvette roadster and entered a "brotherhood" as it were. I can't ever recall a Corvette owner not waving.

After that, I began to wave at any nice car. Sometimes you get a wave back and sometimes people ignore you. Perhaps the most snobbish people are those who drive 8th Gen Civic/6th GenSi's [2006-2011]. In all my years of waving, I have never ever seen so many tools and jerks. A wave to a fellow Si driver is a challenge to most of them. Time to act gangsta and weave in and out of traffic like the Fast and Furious. Not only did I not get a wave, I got a middle finger and a 3rd gear challenge.

Joining the Evo ranks was refreshing. The owners that I have met seem almost like a fraternity. They are passionate about their cars and are very happy to see another Evo on the road. Amazingly, STi drivers are usually very friendly as well, and wlll usually send a wave in my direction. Regardless of the flavor, an Evo/STi is the only game in town that offers rally type performance. So, both cars have a special place in my heart as both carry on the awd/turbo banner.

Hour east of Indy. Any good evo events happen around here?

To everyone else - thanks for the replies. I'll wave. Especially to STI people. That's all people have in this town. Only evo. I feel special lol.

Thanks for the link. Looks iffy if you get a wave. I know most of the scoobie guys in town. Haven't driven past any of them yet. But I'm sure I'll get a wave. Always did in the MINI. It's weird how I now have "the most respected car" in town. Not even kidding. 50,000 people here....

Ouch sucks for him, but I don't have to worry. Only 2 other Evos in my city and I see them probably once every 2 weeks if I'm lucky.

Today I decided to wave at some subies, not one wave back..smh
