Hi everyone, i just got evo 8 on february. and its an awesome car. i love it.
does anyone know where to buy the manual book?

and also i have question, why does the engine make so loud noise? and when i listen it carefully, it makes sound like tick tick tick.. does anyone know what that is?

what your hearing is either injector tick or lifter tick

 

thats a normal thing with Evo 8-9 mostly 8's...yea its either Injector or Lifter...just take a long peice of wood or long screw driver and rest it on one ofthe injectors and you be able to tell if its the injectors thats ticking or the lifters...if its the lifter just use some 20w 50 oil and it should quiet it down..

i am thinking to use AMS oil 5W20. it says its a good motor oil but never tried it. any idea?

do you guys know what is the button behind the stick, next to hand brake for?? it has icon looks like radiator or something.

The noise is normal. It's just power,LOL

Really, it might be the lifters or injectors like they said.

my advice is search the threads man u'll find a lot of great info. Also look into modding for dummies which is also on here

 

you can find a service manual at any local autozone or auto part store, at least in florida...
