Question RMR vs RRM Intake

Just a quick question, which intake is better, the short ram one from RRM or the short ram one done by RMR?

they're really not much different. the RRM intake has a carbon fiber heatshield which obviously shield the intake from direct heat. the RMR intake has a heatshield also, doing the same function but uses part of the stock airbox to take in cooler air from outside and spit it onto the intake. As for performance you won't get any significant different, I guess it's just which one appeals to you more.

Ok, guess a matter of price too, might as well go for the cheaper one then.

the injen one just gives u a shiny piece of tubing, which may appeal to some of you that likes the looks of it. it's all in personal taste and how much you want to spend...

What kind of gains did you guys experience when you went and got the intake? Im not expecting anything huge like a turbo or anything but if im gonna go and spend 200$ on an intake would be nice to get something. Would it be anything more than what i got from the K&N drop in filter?

it'll probably be more than a drop in filter because im pretty sure the stock airbox is restrictive. i think u'll be able to feel it, but definately hear it. im guessing it'll add 2-3 hp

and with a basic exhaust you will get around 6-7 hp, and if u had a cat back 8-9. add some headers, and it will give u 11-13 hp. thats just my guess.all will cost about 1000 at the most. but maybe the hp gains are wrong you could get a solid 15hp.

You should check out the Bushur Racing intake. Its cheaper than the Ingen intake but looks exactly like it. Theres a sale going on right now too. $125.

Ya, Buschur Racing's intake has just the same performance gain as Injen's or rrm's. Plus Buschur's intake was proven to get HP gains in Import Tuner's Power Pages. I bought mine last week. Hoping it comes in the mail some time soon

Here's the link to the Power Pages http://www.importtuner.com/tech/0205it_pplancer/
