Greetings

Hey my name is Mike and I am driving a '03 Evo 8. I am having it rebuilt with a 2.3l stroker kit and I was wondering what would be a good exhaust manifold to use? I have been looking at 4WS Mona Lisa and ETS 1.50" Evo 8 and 9 stock runner manifold.

Also with the stroker kit would it be better to run the stock injectors or upgrade them?

Check out MAP. They sell several different exhaust manifolds for the 8, including the ETS.. plus they make their own, as well.

Welcome! A little use of the search feature and you will find everything you need to know!

When your 2.3 is getting done being built, are you going to use the stock turbo?

If you plan to upgrade injectors will be very much needed. We just need to know what type of fuel and type of turbo you plan on using.

As far as exhaust manifolds, you can use your stocker, or have MAPerformance/Buschur/PPI port and coat it for you. I try to buy everything from MAP. They are in my hometown, and it doesn't hurt that their prices are the lowest, and service is the best.

When it comes to a tubular manifold, I personally would go with a Toxicfab, they are amazing! Along with everything else he makes.

Good luck!

Each ETS manifold is hand ported and comes with a life time warranty against any type of manufacturing defects.

I would recommend this manifold for under 600whp, if you plan on going above that.. the 1.5" runner manifold would be your best bet.

Thanks!

Michael

Thanks guys! Its nice to get pointers from the people who have been doing this longer than I have!

@blknblubkrdude: for now I am going to stay with the stock turbo. I bought the car with a rod knock so I am having it rebuilt with the 2.3 stroker and then going from there to see what else I need to replace to have her running good before I upgrade my turbo.
