New Chica! Intro
welcome, It was smart on your part to join the forum. That way you can learn more about your future purchase. It must be exciting to know you will be getting a evolution. It would be so hard to have to wait!
Nice choice too.

Even better plan! ha. I tell myself that all the time ;( ...never lasts for me... haha
Yeah, I intend to test drive it and see how i like it before I really decide but I think it would be nice to have. If Ken block can live with it in his lil ford fiesta race car, it can't be that bad right? Lol. When i was reading about that trans it was saying that it can shift faster than a manual or an automatic with a stall converter. That's pretty neat.

It is kinda exciting thinking about it, but it can't happen til we move back to the US so i can't get too excited. Lol. Something to work for. Already saving up for my down payment little by little while I have the time to do so, haha.
Rayray, we are in Schweinfurt, you?
Sorry for the multiple responses, easier on the iPad.
Well, we test drove a 2011 MR. I have to say I'm pretty impressed with how fast that trans shifts. For those that haven't driven one, it shifts faster than I can physically snap my fingers. VERY smooth as well. Most of the time you can't even feel the car shift (never drove it in full auto mode, only used the paddles). I definitely enjoyed the drive. I may still drive a GSR before I make my final decision just to make sure I won't regret not buying a manual. Man it was fun though. Not as fast or as "down to business" as our IX... much more of a luxury appeal to the MR... much smoother ride, yet it still felt like it was there if you wanted more out of it than a nice cruise.
Overall it made even more interested in purchasing an EvoX over the 2011+ STI. Very impressed. Getting excited, even though it will be at least a year before purchase, I am definitely leaning towards joining you Evo owners! =P

Haha. I've had too many cars that ended up being project cars. I will never lose my passion, but I'm ready for a car I can rely on. Lol. I will never be happy buying a car that isn't the sport model either, but I will be able to keep it mostly stock. My other car will keep the mod bug happy. Lol.

Maybe we can meet up some time, get the Evos together or something. Would have to be somewhere central, as that's quite a haul from here. We are 2 hours east of Frankfurt. We have some car people over here that I'm sure would be interested in getting something set up at some point.
