New Chica! Intro
Hey everyone, thought Id make an intro thread. My husband is a member on here already and we have a 2006 Evo 9 (his). I have been thinking about getting myself one as well, next year after his deployment.
I was formerly an STI fan, with plans to buy a 11' or 12', and it seems I've recently had a change of heart. I have become very interested in the 2012 MRs with the TC-SST trans. We already have two manuals so I think I'd be okay with that style as I have plans for the Evo to stay relatively stock and be a long term DD. Those that have the TC-SST trans, how do you like it? I really like that they come wingless and with an upgraded suspension as well.
Getting pretty excited about this particular car. We are stationed in Germany until after the deployment, so I intend to buy it once we move back to the US and I am able to get a steady job again. Not much opportunity for us spouses in Germany unfortunately.
Well looking forward to referencing EvoM for my future car and getting to know some members!
For Christmas I got a MR vortex generator for my husband, for the 9. It has your typical bolt ons with a custom tune. Here is a recent pic:

Buschur Street core FMIC with lower piping
Upper 'boost tube'

Cat less DP back exhaust, custom from Synaptics
Exedy stage2, 4puck clutch
Boost, oil pressure gauges with AEM uego WB/gauge
Dyno tuned at Synaptics, then updated by my husband with EvoScan

Seems like you got a nice plan in mind! I saw a 2011 WW MR at the dealer the other day and was instantly in love... I just couldnt see myself getting rid of my VIII for one ;(

it will be nice having his modded IX, which he has far more plans for, and then the X MR for a nice fun cruiser DD for me. I have another project car that I've had for going on 8 years, so the X MR will be left stock, well maintained and reliable, lol.
