Cold-air intake help

hey guys, looking to buy my first CAI, and i was wondering if it really matters that a manufacturer states that the CAI is only for M/T. My ES is A/T and id like to put a CAI on it to make it sound and run alittle better. any advice on this? whats the advantages of CAI over short ram intakes?

Cold air intake could destory your car, a short ram air intake will not. Let me explain, most people end up sucking in water through their cold air intake and destorying their engine, short ram intakes are far less likely to have this happen. Just some food for thought. The gains aren't that much better from cold to short anyway to run the risk. IMO.

Also, there is a lancer specific side of this web site, go there, more people are likely to have better answers then my opinions.
