Noob here!

Hey guys my name is Ryan and I recently traded in my PT Cruiser (long story with that car) for a 2010 Evo X MR. I love this car! It is such a big step up from the PT its just insane.

I am looking forward to modifying this car just as much as my PT but I wanted some opinions before I started....

As you all know, the PT community is really all about visual mods seeing as how the platform itself isnt really performance centric. I would like to do some tasteful visual mods on my new Evo along with performance mods but I have limited experience wrenching.

With that being said, what do you guys think about me changing the steering wheels? I was just looking through an Auto magazine and saw some cool looking replacement wheels in there.

Well, thanks for reading and I hope this car has less drama than the last one (it was insane).

Just looked back at my post and no one responded. I am still looking at steering wheels but I'm waiting to hear from you guys if there are any fitment issues with swapping out the steering wheel.

Any input would be awesome!

I've always wanted to change out my steering wheel in every car I've had but been hesitant to lose my cruise control and radio controls. I had a G35 before my Evo X. I love tech almost as much as I love speed.
It all boils down to what YOU want. If you dont use the controls then why not lose the stock for something nice? I personally hate the look of mine.
Oh yeah, and there's also that pesky airbag that could come in handy one day.

Honestly?
I literally almost threw up on my keyboard. Please dont do that to an Evo.
Either stick with the stock wheel if you want your controls or go all the way with a Sparco or Key!s wheel with a tilt or removable hub.
You asked what we thought

Really? You don't like it? I think its ****. But anyway I will look at the Sparco. Any suggestions on other mods? My mom felt bad after her 'incident' and told me I could spend $1000 on it.

I am wondering if I should go with visual or performance mods. Here is what my old PT looked like:
