Hello, I am about to buy this 05 evo 8 with 130k miles, ( mostly highway ) so I was wondering if you could tell me any maintenance that is coming up. The clutch was just replaced, and the car is stock. I know i want to change the timing belt does anyone know how much that will cost me to get done?

 

change all drivetrain fluids, oil, spark plugs, air freshner, and air filter. check all other fluids and brake pads. would def. put it up on jack stands and check whole car over. g/l

 

Timing components kit is like 500 not sure on your mechanical know how but if you need to pay someone to do it you're looking 200-400 in labor on top depending on shop

 

Where in NJ are you?

 

always run into this problem, should look for one with lower miles

 

My evo 8 has 121k and my entire t-belt service cost $750 at a reputable performance shop. Not bad in my op, includes water pump, tensioner etc...
