New member looking at getting an evo 8!

Im looking to get some cheaper car payments as my life as taken a change. Ive found an evo that i like but it has some modifications to it that i dont know what they are. Ive owned a 95 gsx before and its based off the same motor so im some what familiar with turbo cars. But i need your guys expert opinion. What do you guys think about this car. What mods do you see? I see what appears to be a header aftermarket BOV and some sort of aftermarket Air filter but im unfamiliar with this engine bay. Thanks in advance!http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...aptcha=success

I see aftermarket header, upper IC pipe. Also, the 3 ACD lights is on.

ya, looks like the injen kit (upper IC, intake, my guess would also be lower IC) Header, no shot of the turbo or exhaust which is unfortunate cant tell if those are aftermarket. As for buying it 98XXX is a lot of miles, unless you can talk to the previous owner and find out exactly what it has and how/who tuned it I would be cautious of buying this. In my opinion you would be better off buying a lower mile stock one for probably close to the same price.

-It is missing the OEM front lip
-All ACD lights are illuminated which could mean the ACD pump is bad (and at the mileage I would not be surprised, ACD pump =$2000). If it is bad, it is not harmful to the car, it is just inactive and it is like driving a 2003-2004 Evo that does not have the ACD system.
-Has a boost gauge
-Has an aftermarket exhaust manifold
-Has aftermarket upper intercooler pipe, intake, and blow off valve.
-Has aftermarket front mount intercooler
-Has JDM rear tail lights
-Missing spark plug cover
-Missing carpet mats

You should also have it inspected to see if the water pump and timing belt, etc have been serviced.
If you purchase it, I suggest changing the AWD fluids immediately.

The previous owner of the EVO 8 I own now had the ACD replaced due to all three lights being on...in my oppinion I'd keep looking around until you find something you dont have to immediately dump money into.
