Looks are subjective, but it's safe to say most think that looks great. I love it.

But... It is quite terrible for performance purposes. If one is going for the style aspect, why not start off with an already sexy platform such as a 350/G35, S2K, M3, etc.? Not saying the EVO is ugly, but after all it is a blocky, big sedan.

Check the Show and Shine section. There are plenty of examples of Hot looking Evos that haven't thrown performance out the window. Ultimately, it is your car and you can do what you want with it but what most of us are trying to tell you is that you're doing yourself and the car a great diservice by sacrificing performance for looks!

Correct, it looks dysfunctional and retarded. It would go well with a sideways neon hat and a duck-face girlfriend though.

Yeah, because load rating is wrong. De-seating the bead can kill you and others. And functionally it will handle like crap.

Oh, wait, you're from Florida.

...carry on...hope that state eventually falls off.

Nice Civic. And welcome.

IIRC, you can get an aggressive look on the X with 18x10.5 wheels and STILL be functional....i.e. Gates?

I agree with this, but would I wouldnt run a 235 size tire and mad negative camber to achieve the OP goal of a VIP/stanced/stretched Evo X.

i personally love the look of a slammed evo ( not to mention i have alot of honda friends too giving me thumbs up lol), the funny thing is the coilovers would be adjustable so switching to a track/daily driving setup wouldnt be hard...if you think it looks good go for it OP, you can always go back.

heres a topic i started today of my slammed evo

Will it look bad? Maybe not to you, but to me it looks like your alignment guy has down syndrome. As for functional... it makes as much sense as this.

do some research on here as you can get a great looking car w/o sacrificing the performance aspects. the "stance scene" is fine on other vehicles, but evos do have performance built in them both in the engine and suspension.

Lmao at the jeep picture. I love your civic and I dislike the stanced trend. If its done correctly then its ok as long as the car still functions. I do hate the guys that stance a car with a small tire on a 9.5 or 10.5" rim and the tire comes an 1" short of the lip. So Damn dumb.

It's your car and if you want to do that I would suggest coilovers like one of the other members said. That way you can at least still have fun with it. Why else would you buy an Evo? But as I said before its yours so do what you like.
