Hi guys/gals, i recently moved from the V8 muscle car world to the tuner side so I have NO knowledge of these things but bought one anyway.

The victim:
Stock Evo VIII with 50k mi

I want to star modding but dont know where to start. I WILL keep this car TX emissions legal (unlike my ex v8)

My goal is to make it fast @ the strip since im used to it :P
Not crazy fast but enough to kill a stang or two, since im used to it

Any help on starting my project would be really appreciated!

 

There is a plethora of parts for these cars! Congrats on the buy! First thing you wanna do is take care of maintenance. Change all your drivetrain fluids with the factory Mitsu fluids. Timing belt job is due at 60k so might as well get it out the way. After that most people do intake, TBE(turbo back exhaust), and maybe a boost controller. Just make sure you have a boost gauge to monitor boost levels. Stock boost level is 18-20lbs. Hope this helps!
