I'm from CT, 33 yo. im new to the forum and new to The Evo world. I do own an EVo VIII bought yesterday.
The car has not much done. Just Cat back exhaust. Intercooler pipes, and Tein springs.
Got this 2003 with 43k miles.

i also own a DSM 1994 Eclipse AWD with ton of mods and 450 whp.

I joined the forum looking for guidance and parts to buy (for example MR full suspension). I look to make some friend and perhaps help other too.

So today I bought alongment bolts and axel transmission seal.
I will be loominh soon for stock coils that people may want to sell.

So today i spent 4 hours cleaning the interior. Got many stains out and dash board looks very nice.
Next week is outside cleaning, oil change, and registration.

 

Hi guys, so the car is not registered yet but is getting and AEM EMS with all sensors.
Parts should be deliver tomorrow.

 

Doesn't CT use OBD2 readiness monitors for their inspections?
Or is this car strictly race?

You are absolutely right, i will have to go over the extra work to change to the stock ecu before going to emissions inspection. I dont want to flash the stock ECU, but will see since I got the AEM for really good price I can still sell it and stick with the stock ECU if I have to.

As for the MR suspension, worth it! I got mine for $450 shipped with hats. Feels great, I want to send them out to rebuild just because of the mileage I put on them.

My .02, I would stick to stock ECU depending on you tuner,LOL
My theory is stand alone ECU's are for race cars, not street. But then again, just my .02
