Just got an '11 MR
the stock advans will "NOT" get you around in the snow.. I'm not sure where ya live but in Canada.. with anything more than 1/2 a cm of snow.. you're Traction control will be working over time on those tires. the colder the weather the worse the tires will be also.. so we'll say -3 with a skiff of snow.. you'll need to be pretty careful.
For an average winter day.. you'll notice they work alright in warm temps we'll say +10C and higher.. @0c or colder, you'll notice with breaking they'll skid often and if your hard on the gas they will not grip.
Be careful in the spring time with these tires as well.. +2 and rain.. they take 10x longer to stop then in +20 and rain. They prefer tarmac temps of (my guess) +15 and higher. at +35 on the track they start to get "squigy" almost slick after about 10 minutes on the road course. they also pick up marbles like no other at those temp's .. stay out of the marbles other wise they will stick to your tires.

one of my boys has a 08 gsr 10 with the stock advans on and we got about 3 inches of snow here in NY and when he tryed to pull out of his parking spot the car started doin 360's in the same spot LMAO ... those tires are the WORST in snow, if you live somewhere that gets bad snow storms i'd get rid of them ASAP .. nice buy though GOOD LUCK
Any experience with Hankook Ventus V4 ES H105? They are pretty reasonably priced on tirerack $156. Anyone know if they can be found somewhere else any cheaper?
BTW I live in Kansas and so far we've had a really mild winter... But I'd really not like to take a chance and get stranded somewhere.
