thanks for this stupid thread. did you you want someone to hold your hand, comfort you, and talk you out of going to nasioc?

Obviously your going to get people who lie about their cars. Buy from a forum member.

I own an '03. In six months the 2013 models will be out - that's 10 years.

There's a few people that keep Evos as garage queens, otherwise they are racking up the miles. The time is here when if you want a clean low mileage Evo you need to start looking at the X's.

where are you from on the island?

you can find a lot of nice good condition evos. don't just like around a 30 mile vicinity. i would find it very hard to buy another car in NY unless it was new or i personally new the owner.

look around in maryland or PA. Even Florida! somewhere you know theres not a pothole every corner.

Like barneyb said it's only gonna get harder to find low mile unmodded/non hacked up evo 8/9's. I had to unrice mine some when I got it. Civic si's are a dime a dozen

Buying a used Evo is a crapshoot because there are hardly any Evo VIII/IXs that haven't been modded to hell and many of them poorly. I love my Evo, but I had to invest a lot of money after buying it used to fix all the crap the previous owner had broken. If you want to cover yourself then get a PPI and don't rely on the goodwill of someone trying to unload their used car. The reason there are fewer beat up Subaru's is because fewer people mod them to the level of your average Evo. If you want a near stock car and you don't like the Evo X's then you might be better off going over to nasioc. This is kind of a pointless post though.
