Hey guys,
Just after your thoughts I have a big decision to make evo 8 or tommi mak 6.
I have been thinknig about it for quite some time.. I know it comes down to personal tastes.
what im after is a track car/ weekend driver.
Now car will only be tracked 4 times a year at most for next few years.
Just wondering what you guys think.
Thanks!

I have driven evos 1-7 and 9 (never got my hands on an 8 unfortunately), including the 6 TME. The 6 TME definitely comes out on top. I was looking for one for a long time, so long that my income and my maturity grew enough to change my needs. I definitely like the TME more but it doesn't quite fit right with me and what I do and so on.
It came down to what suited me best, it ended up being the IX for me.
The TME will probably retain it's value better because of the limited numbers built (2500 minus crashed/raced ones).
It's pretty tough to say really being a weekend car with little track time. If it was going to be a track ***** I'd go with the TME, but for a road car I'd say the VIII.

i would definetly jump on a TME evo VI, they were limited and i would think they are very rare. evo 8s are great evos as well, but the exclusiveness of owning a TME definetly tops an 8

I wish we had the TME here (US). The fun value between the ix and vi is probably minimal but the vi will retain it's value better, although a newer car will have less maintenance worries like bushings, hoses, rattles, and long term wear stuff.

If I had to do it again I would still choose Evo 6 TME, it certainly is holding its value and has not dropped these past 3 years in Australia. If you are planning on changing the suspension and turbo on the TME you could save money and purchase a 6 instead.
This Fifth Gear video may help you decide since it's a track test. EVO9 FQ320 vs EVO6 (not TME)

fake. The best EVO is the one that you can afford and like. I have an 8 and I destroyed Exotic Cars like Ferrari, Lambo, Audi R8 bla bla bla... How fast can you drive on the track and how good can you take turns is up to you. I enjoy my 8 since the day that I bought it. I will always treasure it.

TME ....All the way !
Bet you won´t regret!!
TME More race oriented = weekend warrior
Evo 8,also awesome = cushy ride
But, both of them have the same racing blood !!

Australia... Get the TME!!! Read my sig. I've driven them all TME is brutal off the bat. All evos have been a little watered down after that mod. Was even considered a little over the top to the Japanese as a road car.
