Holding up
Holding up
Would like to hear some input, how are Evo's holding up after 9yrs? I'm looking to get a Evo in the next 2yrs after I pay my wife's car off or pay the balance down. Just want to know how they are holding up.
My evo is a 2003. I got it in 2008 used with 41.5k miles on it. It now sits at just over 55k miles. It runs great. So far a 9 year old car I would say it is holding out great.
This is one of my favorite pics of it.

I'd say this question is solely dependent on the maintenance and abuse the car has undertaken. Mines an '05 with 100k miles and still pulls and runs good.
If your buying a car that has been maintained properly and not neglected then you'll be fine! just remember this when buying an evo if you think your getting a bargain your probably not ! And if it's too good to be true it probably is you get what you pay for!

This is also a hard question because most people who buy Evos immediately start upgrading the stock parts. I upgraded my 2.0 with 120,000 miles on it to a MAP 2.3 not because I had to but because I wanted more torque and was upgrading everything else. These cars are built to last as long as you take care of them.
Thanks for the positive info and advice. Keep them coming. I'm just trying to learn as much as possible before i'm ready to buy so I will be doing a lot of reading and asking questions.
