New member, new RR evo 9 RS
Thanks for the kind words, she has her flaws, but all in all i think she's in good condition. She does have 107k,so my main concern right now is to make sure all the maintenance is up to date and everything is solid before I start modding. I do notice she gets horrible gas mileage when I'm on it,as my first tank of gas I guess I was a little boost happy and I only got 220 miles to the tank. Then I refilled and drove it like a grandma and I got 250ish. Is that about normal? Eventually I want to do some HKS or kelford 272's,a 255,an 02 housing/3 inch down pipe, and injen or ETS intercooler pipes. Is there anything you would suggest or do in a particular order? Thanks.
220-230 is right on normal. you wont get any better than that unless you are cruising the speed limit on the highway. you bought an Evo not a Fiesta
Nice Evo, at least you lucked out and got SE seats. I would complete the exhaust setup and get a downpipe, HFC or testpipe. Then get a 02 housing, port the exhaust manifold, get upper and lower ICP, MBC and spoolin up COP setup. After that, you can figure out what you want out of your Evo..build it for SCCA track, 1/4 mile, or a quick street car and then choose injector/fuel pump and tune ( or choose turbo and intercooler). After that, you can do suspension if you don't want to do it all at once. If you don't want to do coilovers, the popular setup is usually MR bilsteins and Swift Sport springs.
Good Luck!
