Hello EvoM! My name is Steven,I currently live in ft.irwin,CA. Ive been lurking around the forums here for months,trying to gain as much knowledge as possible before i bought my evo. I picked her up thursday night 3/2/12. Ive waited a long time for this moment,patiently waiting,trying to find the right one for the right price. She's a RR 9 RS. Stock minus some espelir lowering springs,an AEM dry flow intake,and a mystery brand catback which I was told was an RNR? or RSR? Im new to the 4G world,as all I've ever owned were hondas. I had a full bolt on DC5 that made 218whp,but WOW,it will never compare to the evo. The torque just puts a smile on my face from ear to ear. If she were yours,what would be your next mods/suggestions? Thanks guys.

Sure did,they actually didn't do that great of a job with the handles,the color is kind of off.I want to repaint the whole car eventually,the front bumper has a lot of rock chips,etc

Welcome man...nice car. I aslo have a RR, and my door handles, rear passenger side door, and well most of it is starting to look faded red. Pretty soon im going to be driving a pink car
Do you guys think if i get it waxed it will bring the color out a lil?

 

I would make sure that it is properly maintenanced before I start thinking about paint and then go from there.

 

The paint needs to be polished.

 

Definitely,the previous owner used another kind of tranny/t case fluid,and even though the car drives perfectly fine,it does have a very small grind going into 5th. Im **** about my cars,so I want to get my hands on some Diaqueen and refresh the T case and tranny. The car feels solid,no boost leaks,no noises from the drive train nothing. I do hear a very small bit of drivetrain noise when taking off in first but i figure thats normal. Anything else you guys suggest? Thanks for the kind words everyone,she still has a long way to go.

Thanks for the kind words,she has her flaws,but all in all i think she's in good condition. She does have 107k,so my main concern right now is to make sure all the maintenance is up to date and everything is solid before I start modding. I do notice she gets horrible gas mileage when I'm on it,as my first tank of gas I guess I was a little boost happy and I only got 220 miles to the tank. Then I refilled and drove it like a grandma and I got 250ish. Is that about normal? Eventually I want to do some HKS or kelford 272's,a 255,an 02 housing/3 inch down pipe,and injen or ETS intercooler pipes. Is there anything you would suggest or do in a particular order? Thanks.
